It took over 18 years to finally continue my education, and then 2 straight years to complete my MBA. Continuing to devote time as a half-time student while working full-time is not something I would repeat or recommend to someone, but I am glad to have completed the program in two years. It was two years of work and study and averaging no more than 3-4 hours of sleep each night including through the weekends....
Last week, my son and I camped out at Mephibosheth Farms with the Royal Rangers. We were there to support Mephibosheth Farms Angelic Rider’s annual walk-a-thon. We arrived there Friday night and pitched our tent. Luckily the commanders were there earlier to setup the campsite. It was unusual since it is not a dedicated campsite.

Two weeks ago my family and I participated in a Civil War Reenactment in Atlanta, GA. While our friends explained as much as they could to set the expectations, there was much that we learned and experienced by participating that words couldn’t have prepared us for.

The family spent a few hours at Borders checking out the new books. While we were there we grabbed a few interesting books and magazines. We sat at the coffee shop inside the bookstore. I was surprised to find couches there. Instead of hard chairs and tables to invite people to keep their stay short, they have made it comfortable to enjoy and rest.

Now on the opposite side of the spectrum, our parents took us to a feast fit for a king. They took us to a wonderful Korean restaurant where they barbecue in front of you. Even as I write this blog, my mouth is salivating as I can hear the sizzling and almost taste the barbecued short ribs.
